Will Kobus is a 24 year old artist who’s originally from New Jersey but is currently based out of DC. He began writing raps at the age of 15 and began to take his craft more serious within the next couple of years. His debut project, “Faded in Plain Sight” was released back in August 2019 while halfway through college. In 2020, he followed up released a handful of singles which led to the release of “When in Vertigo”, a collaboration project with friend and New York based producer eathn under the moniker FreaWill. His approach to creating is and has been rooted in therapy, with many of his tracks acting as a mirror for him to self-reflect not only on his flaws and shortcomings, but the world around him at large. For 2022 so far, he released a slew of new tracks and videos which all led up to his first solo full-length project in three years, “full court press”, which released in early July. However, 2023 has Will showing no signs of slowing down, as he prepares to drop a lot more songs and visuals this year. He recently released “it takes a village”, the first of two collaborative tapes with friend Mettaworldzeke this past March, and will be following up with “on our own two feet” alongside friend GloverOfficial, which is slated for an early summertime release.

242 is an artist collective based in Germantown, Maryland. Starting in 2015, 242 was initially a band at Roberto Clemente Middle School. Having been a part of the school’s Rock Band program, this was the initial inspiration to jumpstart the formation of 242. Over the course of the next several years, as additional members joined, the diverse musical inspirations and backgrounds of each member merged together to transition from being a rock band to being a more genre-diverse group, with a focus on hip-hop and pop. 242 has opened for musicians such as GRAMMY-nominated Duckwrth, Jeremih, Rich The Kid, Deetranada, Jvck James, Willis, and more on top of performing at venues across the DMV including DC9 Nightclub, Union Stage, Island Pride Oasis, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, and more. In 2019, 242 was a finalist in three WAMMIES categories: Best Hip Hop Group, Best Pop Album (“Life of an Empire”), and Best Hip Hop Song (“Who You Gon Tell?”). Then, in 2022, 242 was a finalist in two WAMMIES categories: Best Hip Hop Group and Best Pop Song (“Hesitate”). Powered behind a following of over 3500 people, 242 have amassed over 200 tickets sold, 40K+ streams, five WAMMIES finalist nominations, and memorable viral social media moments including an introductory TikTok post for all 242 members which amassed over 108K views and countless new fans eagerly anticipating their next move.
