Rosie Cima & What She Dreamed is a four-piece rock band based in Washington, D.C. Songwriter and frontwoman Rosie Cima combines forces with Steven Burch (The Sock Market (PGH)), Barrett Browne, and Mashaal Ahmed to create original folk-inspired indie rock in the vein of Big Thief, Angel Olsen, and Hop Along. Cima formed the band to play the release show of her debut solo EP Blackberry, Blackberry, Blackberry on cassette and online in December 2018, and since then the quartet has flourished. Rosie Cima and What She Dreamed released their first full length, Realm of the Warring Gods in March 2021 on community record label This Could Go Boom!

Founded in DC, Grimm Winter is a symphonic blend of 90s alt/indie rock, punk, and folk music. With a strong emphasis on storytelling & modern day mythologies, evocative metaphor & melodies, the band weaves together stories and songs that blur the line between literal and fantastical.

You Fool! is an indie rock band from the suburbs of Washington DC. Their blend of pulsing indie rock and dreamy, ethereal post-rock is so silky smooth you could sleep on it if you wanted to. But you know what they say about sleeping on good music: Don’t.

The group began in the early days of a raging pandemic. Primary songwriters Julia and Josh – now husband and wife duo – learned of their shared affinity for music over an impromptu cover of Vance Joy’s “Riptide” in a living room. Julia was a vocalist with a history in musical theater and choir, and Josh, a guitarist from small garage and punk bands from the east coast. They began writing music together almost immediately, and recruited an array of talented musicians – including bassist Mayson, drummer Mike, and multi-instrumentalist Greg – to round out the band.

To date, the band has recorded two EPs and played numerous shows in the Washington DC music scene. Their most recent release, the “Escape from the Circus” EP, details Julia’s past forays into the circus arts.

Their sound has been compared to the likes of 90’s alternative legends such as The Cranberries, and more modern acts, including Alvvays, Wolf Alice, Japanese Breakfast, and Metric.
