Tayon Robinson is a young singer/songwriter from Washington DC who has just released his debut album ‘ Melatonin. His music combines Indie Bedroom Pop, Alternative Pop to create a unique sound and draws on his own personal experiences to create songs that connect with people.
Born and raised in Washington D.C., Tayon grew up listening to a wide range of music genres, which has influenced the sound of his own music. He started playing piano at the age of 15 and began writing songs shortly thereafter. In 2022, he released his debut album, which was well-received by fans. Listeners describe tayon as a male version of Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Gracie Abrams.
Melatonin, explores the theme of Teenage Heartbreak, Depression & Mental Health Awareness. The opening track “overdose!” shows a mentally unstable Tayon not wanting to face his problems and end his life while other songs like “ Lullaby ” explores self-love, and Contentment with being able to talk to talk about your problems and feel safe doing so.
Tayon is passionate about using his music to inspire others to live their lives with purpose and meaning. He hopes that his message will reach people around the world and help them find peace and happiness within themselves.
Singer-songwriter Josey Indigo adds a modern twist to many of the emotions that have been felt for centuries. Taking inspiration from indie artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Lizzie McAlpine, Josey uses song to explain the hardships of growing up. Her newest EP, Bird Songs, seeks to recognize these obstacles and reflect on her past.
