Slings and Arrows presents: Samhain’s Masquerade Ball. Celebrate All Hallows Eve with the spookiest goth club in town.

Come dressed in your deadliest attire for a night filled with doom, gloom, and flowers bereft in deathly bloom. Samhain’s Masquerade Ball will have it all, starting with perfectly gothic, haunting gothic rock, deathrock, and darkwave tunes by veteran DJ Sara Vox of DC’s quarterly deathrock night, “The Blackout”.

Dress to impress for our resident club photographer, Artist MDC, who will be sure to catch your most striking looks. Additionally, there will be a striking fashion runway debut by DC’s newest, most majestic & macabre designer, King’s Filigree.

Nearly four years after “Heat Waves” rose to become a chart-topping, pandemic-era hit, Glass Animals will return with their new album I Love You So F***ing Much, their first LP since 2020’s Dreamland spawned their smash single.

The album, due out July 19, was inspired in part by frontman Dave Bayley’s experience becoming a global sensation — “Heat Waves” was the biggest single by a British band in more than 30 years — amidst a pandemic that sent much of the world into quarantine, with the band unable to celebrate their newfound fame: The band was forced to miss the 2022 Grammys, where they were nominated for Best New Artist, after testing positive for Covid.

“Life can change dramatically, but sometimes you aren’t able to change as quickly on a personal level,” Bayley said in a statement. “You end up feeling like a spectator. And then you are asked and expected to be a certain type of person, a different person. But…I wasn’t sure how. It confused me to the point of not knowing who I was or if anything was real.”
