Cumbia Heights is an Alternative tropical band based in Washington DC, made up of 8 immigrants representing Latin America from Tierra del Fuego to the international border in northern Mexico.

From El Salvador, Hi FI Soundsystem, a vinyl selektor and melomanos duo that collect more than 200 vintage vinyl singles from salvadorian cumbia, arrives to share with us “Anochecer Tropical” a sound recreation of the Christmas parties in El Salvador. Music selections are based on a popular tv show that shaped the 90s kids’ taste for cumbia, merengue, salsa and early reggaeton.
