Night Club is Emily Kavanaugh and Mark Brooks: a dark, electro-goth duo from Los Angeles, CA. Touching upon themes such as mental illness, loneliness, and revenge, their self-released albums have helped them build a cult-like following since their formation in 2012. In October 2016 Night Club released their 1st LP, Requiem for Romance, showcasing the duo’s discovery of their signature sound, with their single “Dear Enemy” entering heavy rotation in the underground club scene. Partnering with Titmouse Animation and Google VR, they premiered the 360-video for their single “Show It 2 Me” on YouTube to viral success. After completing a US tour with industrial legends Lords of Acid and Combichrist in 2017, they found themselves back in the studio. Inspired by their own personal dealings with depression and anxiety, they released their sophomore LP Scary World in August 2018, which debuted on the US iTunes Electronic chart at #4. Shortly after the album’s release they were picked to open for A Perfect Circle on their Fall 2018 North American tour. Night Club released their third full-length album Die Die Lullaby on October 9, 2020; written and produced entirely by Kavanaugh and Brooks, and co-mixed by Dave “Rave” Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Carly Rae Jepsen).

At just twenty-one years old, singer/songwriter Ritt Momney has expertly infused emotion into his sound, crafting introspective records that are therapeutic for the man behind the pen as well as his listeners. The Salt Lake City native has recently gone viral thanks to his cover of Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On," gaining steam on TikTok while soaring up the Spotify and Apple charts. As he enters the next phase in his career, Ritt Momney continues to spread messages of romance, realization, and rebellion.
It's much more than a spin on Mitt Romney's name. The artist, born Jack Rutter, knew from a young age that falling in line wasn't going to be a priority. Born in Dallas, Texas, Jack's family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was around two years old. Growing up in a tight knit Mormon community, Jack's musical experience was relegated to the church, The Beatles, and radio hits. That was until he reached high school and stumbled upon James Blake's eponymous debut album, which arguably changed Jack's life.
"It was then that I realized music doesn't have to sound like everything else for it to be good," he admits. He kept searching for more music, diversifying his palate, listening to other artists like Earl Sweatshirt and STRFKR. His older brother was a musician, and Jack wanted to try it. He taught himself the piano and guitar, recording acoustic covers on his phone then posting them on SoundCloud. He graduated to GarageBand and then on over to Logic. "I felt like production was really fun for me," he says. "Why would I limit myself to piano and guitar when I could plug into a computer and have the sound of any instrument I wanted at my fingertips?"
Jack formed the band Ritt Momney in 2017 with some friends, and they released a song called "Young Adult," which gained some traction on Spotify. He then watched his friends all fall in line with the Mormon faith, and once he reached college he started to find some new friends. Eventually, Ritt Momney became just him, and in 2019 he released his solo effort Her And All My Friends. The project was poignant and moody, as Jack grappled with his girlfriend being away at college, his friends joining Mormon missions, and him questioning all of it.
On one of his album tracks "(If) The Book Doesn't Sell," Jack touches on his departure from the Mormon church. He describes: "When I first stopped believing in my church and religion in general, I immediately began looking for everything wrong with it. But when I finally worked up the courage to tell my parents I was atheist and we started talking about it, I realized it shouldn't be about who's right and who's wrong; it should just be about what works. And what works for you won't necessarily work for everyone else. All I'm trying to say with this song is that spirituality should be a personal endeavor."
Ritt Momney was slated to hit the road with Dayglow this spring, but due to COVID the tour got canceled. With newfound time on his hands, Jack recorded a cover of Corinne Bailey Rae's 2006 Grammy-nominated hit "Put Your Records On." The buzz continued to grow once he posted it online, and Ritt Momney immediately gained a level of notoriety Jack hadn't thought possible.
Currently, the newly signed artist to Disruptor / Columbia Records is readying his major label debut album. "I'd describe it as 'lyric-driven indie pop,' I guess," he expresses. The work will build upon the foundation he's already laid, which is honest songwriting mixed with intoxicating melodies. While the artist known as Ritt Momney may be rapidly gaining popularity, he maintains one major goal. "I think the main mission for me is to have fun making music," he says earnestly. "That's the only way I can do it well."

Hannah Jadagu is an 19-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer from Mesquite, Texas, who is signed to Sub Pop Records. Using electric guitars that plug into her iRig, Garageband iOS, and a contemporary/indie style of songwriting and vocals, Hannah has created a unique sound for her music. On Life, and Another, Mega Bog (the world-inhabiting moniker of song-animator Erin Birgy) tends a succulent garden full of plants that the unwitting passerby might mistakenly perceive as extraterrestrial, but which are in fact very much of this Earth. Departing from the humid Holodeck spider plant nursery of previous record Dolphine (2019), Mega Bog’s new album brings us back to our home planet, into the rarefied air pressure of a dried-up desert valley where its fourteen songs were written and scattered like stones in the landscape. But true to Birgy’s alchemical writing practice, these bright stones simply refuse to blend into their arid environment, each one a precious gem chiseled by the anti-capitalist geologist’s hammer to reveal the impossible, dazzling life that inheres under the dusty exteriors of both the northern Nevada of her youth and the rural New Mexico of the album’s birth.

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiKv-tw9-MI[/embedyt]

Cohabiting with Life, and Another’s co-producer, engineer, and percussionist James Krivchenia (Big Thief) in a small cabin near the Rio Grande off of NM State Route 68, Birgy found herself often alone, suspended between their separate touring schedules. In these silent time passages, Birgy experienced a complete loss of self amid the expanse. Frequently thinking about death in the middle of nowhere opened a familiar black hole of troubling projections, and any desire to find freedom or remain positive continued to fold back into self-destructive thought and fear. Strange long days were spent pacing the property with a rake, befriending ants and spiders and struggling with the instinct to poison them if they ventured into the home. Comfort was occasionally found in internet reruns of Frasier and Star Trek Deep Space 9, texts on the ethics of terraforming and space colonization, and Ken Liu’s Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy. Over time, a budding interest in mindfulness, attachment theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and rage gave way to new productive brain processes. These creative juices followed Birgy on the road and into subsequent lonely bedrooms as the songs continued to flow. New, northern landscapes, like the woods and rivers outside of Seattle, Washington, provided further inspiration during odd sublets in the area. Dark as everything may actually be, Birgy always manages to stay with trouble and conjure the extraordinary resulting music."

Annie Hart is a New York City-based composer, songwriter, and performer. She came to renown in the early 2000’s as a member of synth trio Au Revoir Simone, a favorite of director David Lynch, who featured the band in several episodes of Twin Peaks: The Return. Since the group’s hiatus, Annie has released two solo albums of “sumptuous synth-pop” (Vogue) that explore the fringes of new wave, minimalism and ambient. Hart’s reputation as a unique master of composition for analog synthesizers has led her to compose the score for two feature films released in 2020: Olympic Dreams (IFC), starring Nick Kroll and Alexi Pappas, and Banana Split (Universal), featuring Dylan Sprouse and Hannah Marks. Her new work for 2021 is Everything Pale Blue, an ambient album released on Orindal Records that is "both meandering and meditative, with Hart crafting a whole new world of her own through the gently lapping synthesizer explorations that absorb the listener” (Gold Flake Paint). On this special tour, Annie will be touring her favorite small, selected spaces and projecting visuals to create a dreamy atmosphere as a backdrop for her new ambient works performed on a carefully curated set of vintage synthesizers. As the set progresses, she’ll add in old favorites from earlier albums and bring her bandmate Jane Herships (Spider) to sing and play multiple instruments. This is a rare chance to experience beautiful soundscapes in an intimate atmosphere filled with community ties and a warm, comforting energy. The shows include an opening set from Pains of Being Pure At Heart’s Kip Berman performing a lush solo set on electric guitar as The Natvral.
